I'm Moving!

I’ve got some big projects coming down the pipe, all because of the big news that I’m days away from closing...yes, I BOUGHT an apartment!

The process has been a whirlwind, to say the least, but thanks to the support of my family, friends, and amazing ladies-of-NYC-real estate team, I’m so proud and happy I went through with everything.

The space is a charming studio in Prospect Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn. Be sure to follow along on Instagram for updates. I’ll be posting more details on projects in the coming months.

In the meantime, I’ve put together a special Pinterest board to collect my inspirations and potential product purchases for the space.
I’d love to hear your comments and feedback! What are your favorite pieces I have pinned so far?

Living Room Redesign: Inspiration Board

I’ve been talking about it for months on my Instagram and am nearly ready to reveal my living room redesign!

The true nucleus of the apartment, this space needed an update in terms of layout and overall aesthetic (previously there wasn’t much of one).

Wanting to keep the space clutter-free but also cozy - especially now that we are in hygge season - was my main design objective. A focused color palette, clean architectural details, and rich textures helped bring the room together and I can’t wait to share soon.

In the meantime, I am sharing my Pinterest board compiling my inspiration and design must-haves as a preview. Stay tuned for the official share in the coming weeks!

Textile Inspo

After being in need of a little city-escape time, a few weeks ago my sister and I took a trip to the town of Saugerties along the Hudson River. The weekend was full of everything we needed - quiet time away in the woods, good food, and a quaint town center with antiques galore.

The time away from the city was refreshing, but the treat of the visit was our adorable Airbnb. It was a loft with massive windows that made it seem like we were staying in an oversized treehouse. The feel of the location was incorporated into the decor, specifically with the abundance of greenery in the space and variety of natural woven textiles. Though the color scheme of the space was neutral - mainly beiges, whites, greys - the layering of different sizes, shapes, and types of fibers created a richness that had me craving some more natural textures in my own space.

I am working on giving my living room a facelift, and while adding plants is my usual go-to solve (see Instagram evidence here), my trip inspired me to expand a bit beyond my comfort zone and work to layer in more dynamic textiles to freshen up the space.
